How to Bridge RIO from Osmosis or Cosmos to Realio Network (Native RIO)

This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough for acquiring RIO on Osmosis or Cosmos and bridging it to the Realio Network (Native RIO).

Users can bridge RIO to the Realio Network through multiple pathways. In addition to using the Realio Platform to bridge RIO from Ethereum, BNB, Solana, Stellar, or Algorand, they can also acquire Native RIO by swapping ATOM or OSMO for RIO on the Osmosis DEX and then bridging it to the Realio Network using the Realio Network App.

Step 1: Set Up Keplr Wallet

Keplr Wallet is recommended for managing Cosmos-based assets and interacting with the Realio Network.

1. Install Keplr Wallet – Download and install Keplr Wallet for your browser or mobile device.
2. Create or Import an Account – Follow the setup instructions to create a new wallet or import an existing one.
3. For more detailed instructions, refer to Keplr’s official Help Center.

💡 Note: Ledger hardware wallets are currently not supported for connecting to the Realio Network App via Keplr Wallet. Use Keplr’s software wallet or a supported alternative like Keystone.

Step 2: Send Cosmos (ATOM), Osmosis (OSMO), or Other Cosmos-Based Tokens to Your Keplr Wallet

To acquire RIO on the Cosmos or Osmosis Network, you'll first need ATOM, OSMO, or other IBC-compatible tokens. These tokens will be used in the next step to swap for RIO on Osmosis DEX or another IBC-enabled platform.

Where to Get ATOM or OSMO

• DEXs: Swap other Cosmos-based tokens for ATOM or OSMO on Osmosis DEX.
• CEXs: Buy ATOM or OSMO on Binance, Coinbase, MEXC, or KuCoin, then transfer them to Keplr using the directions below.

How to Transfer ATOM or OSMO Tokens to Keplr Wallet

1. Open Keplr Wallet and use the search bar to find the correct token and network (e.g., Cosmos Hub for ATOM, Osmosis for OSMO).
2. Copy your public wallet address (it will start with "cosmos1..." or "osmo1...").
3. On your exchange or external wallet, navigate to the withdrawal section, paste your Keplr Wallet address, and follow the on-screen instructions.
4. Confirm the transfer—your tokens should appear in Keplr once completed.

💡 Tip: Always send a small test transaction first before transferring larger amounts.

Step 3: Swap ATOM or OSMO for RIO on Osmosis DEX

Once you have ATOM or OSMO in your Keplr Wallet, you can swap them for RIO on Osmosis DEX.

1. Go to Osmosis DEX and connect your Keplr Wallet.
2. Navigate to "Trade" and select:
   • From: ATOM or OSMO (or other Cosmos Hub tokens).
   • To: RIO.
3. Enter the amount and confirm the swap.
4. Approve the transaction in your Keplr Wallet.
5. Verify your RIO balance in your Keplr Wallet.

💡 Note: At this stage, RIO is still on Osmosis or Cosmos. To move it to Realio Network (Native RIO), proceed to Step 4.

💡 Tip: Ensure you have a small amount of ATOM or OSMO remaining in your Keplr Wallet to cover gas fees for the next step.

Step 4: Add the Realio Network to Keplr Wallet & Bridge RIO to Realio Network (Native RIO)

Before bridging, you must add the Realio Network to your Keplr Wallet to interact with the Realio Network App. Follow this step-by-step guide to add the Realio Network to Keplr.

Once added, follow these steps to bridge your RIO:

1. Connect to app.realio.network and link your Keplr Wallet.
2. Go to "Bridge" and select:
   • From: Osmosis or Cosmos.
   • To: Realio Network (Native RIO).
3. Confirm and approve the transaction in Keplr Wallet.
4. Wait for completion and verify your Native RIO balance in Keplr Wallet.

💡 Tip: Ensure you have a small amount of ATOM or OSMO to cover gas fees.
